Empty Boxes

I got a hold of these boxes for free. No one else seemed to enjoy the irony of them...that's okay, more empty boxes for me!

Can we get an applause for Kate Middleton's Alexander McQueen Jacket?

I saw this on SocialiteLife.

Feel free to disregard the amazing impression William is doing of his father...although it is pretty amazing.

Microwave

This really made me wish I needed a new microwave...and had $80 to spend on silly stuff. Although it seems like it would be awkward stare into a microwave to see your food, and have a face stare back at you.

Polka dots!

I bought these shoes a long time ago. It turned out to be tragic because they were just too big for my feet. I remember buying a half size bigger hoping that I could make them fit with socks...but it was not to be! I ended up passing them along to a friend, so they now have a good home. I still love the style of them though!

Renopocalypse 2!

Here's a flier I made for the second Renopocalypse show! Everyone who has access to Reno should go! It'll be great times!

Shopping on the Cheap: Ballet Flats

What? Blue Green Ballet Flats
Where? Pac Sun, Billings, MT
How Much? $7

I found these beauts while on the road for comedy. A great clearance find, and they're super comfortable! (Also, Montana doesn't have sales tax, that was a pleasant surprise!) They're my lazy shoes...for when I don't feel like I have the energy to prance around in heels.

Short Film: Employment Opportunities

Here's another video I helped edit. I had a really great time with this one. It was basically edited already and my challenge was to cut out about 2 minutes and make it move faster. I started cutting the computer and laughing girl footage into the longer takes. I'm really happy with how it turned out!

Hypeman!

Here's a video written and directed by my buddy Danwise, featuring some good friends of mine as the actors: Wayne Walsh, John Gallagher, Danwise and Brandon Lara.  Dan and I edited this video for the Renopocalypse comedy show, and it was a blast! They did such a good job, and just the raw footage was cracking me up. Also, can we just take a moment and appreciate the walking/running shot at the end? AAAmazing.

Lent!

I decided that this year I'm going to take part in Lent. For those of us who are not particularly religious, it's a great opportunity to challenge ourselves mentally. This year, for Lent I decided that I'm not going to buy any "stupid crap." "Stupid crap" just referring to my awful habit of buying clothes and shoes all the time. Which is a huge bummer considering I saw these beauts while shopping for a costume piece for Renopocalypse the other day...

Damn you, Forever 21! Anyway, I'll tell you know how I'm doing...and in the spirit of being thankful for what I have, I'll post about some nice pieces I've already owned for a while. :)

Here's to a rough time until April 5th! I'm totally not doing the cheat days, so wish me luck!

Cat Calling

All of last week I was consumed by preparing for our first Renopocalypse show. I spent entire days sitting in a computer lab/editing dungeon working on videos for the show. I just uploaded the first videos to the Renopocalypse YouTube page.

The first videos are called Cat Calling. It's a short film my friend John Gallagher wrote and directed. This was his baby. During the editing process, however, I feel like it became my baby as well. Here they are in order! Enjoy!

This was so fun to edit. I was laughing hysterically while sitting in the lab working on this.

Also, I want to give special props to Nolan Fleming for a fantastic job as the crazy guy. We had at least 20 straight minutes of footage of him fighting a stuffed cat. Not a lot of people would go balls to the wall like that, and he did a really great job...and he was super creepy!

Thanks, GPS: My accidental trip through Yellowstone.

A few months ago I had to drive from Billings, Montana to Fallon, Nevada in order to get a show. My father told me that the best way would be to stay on I-90 then take 55 and 41 at Whitehall, MT. I took note of his advice then followed my GPS, seeing the map and assuming that it was the same way my father suggested...and it wasn't.

I was routed near Yellowstone and my car actually got stuck in the snow for a little bit at a gas station. (I've had a ton of practice getting my car unstuck from snowbanks, thanks to living in Reno and being a colossal idiot.) It cost me an extra two or three hours in what was already going to be a 15 hour drive. On the bright side the drive was really pretty, and I can tell people that once I was in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and Nevada all in one day.

Early on in the trip. Here I am thinking, "It'll clear up soon. It looks sunny."

"Oh those mountains are pretty. I wonder what they are."

"I'm pretty sure I saw signs to place called 'West Yellowstone.' Oh shit."

Oh the way down the hill on 20.

I didn't take any pictures of the gigantic snow banks and snowmobilers near Island Park, ID. For those of you who know me well, you probably know that I was probably too close to vomiting at the thought of being outside during that kind of weather to stomach looking at snowmobiling activities for too long.

The airport.

The subway.

The Whitehouse was super anticlimactic. =/

Big meal: just a bit overwhelming

Normally this is the amount of food I eat in an entire week.
A bit overwhelming, but amazing. I was on the road in Lewiston, Idaho and I went to a restaurant called Mandarin Pine. This is one of the combo plates with egg rolls, fried rice, hot and sour chicken, chow mein and egg foo young (one of my favorites!)...not to mention the bowl of egg flour soup I destroyed.
